Expansion Project
Cy's Place is Expanding!
During Phase 1 of our expansion, we plan to build three new duplexes with adequate space for six families to live during the time when their immuno-compromised child is undergoing treatment at the Mayo clinic. Each two-bedroom unit is simple but cozy, designed to be easier to keep super-clean and germ-free. We need about $2,000,000 to complete this phase of our expansion. That figure breaks down to about $325,000 for each unit and an additional $50,000 for playground equipment and other infrastructure. We will build each of these du-plexes one-by-one as soon as we have the money to do so. In a future phase, we hope to add additional duplexes to our nine-acre property.

You can give a monetary gift toward this expansion project. You can give a gift-in-kind to this expansion project. If you have materials or expertise you can donate, please contact us. In addition to all the different kinds of building materials, we also need appliances and furnishings for each unit, trees and bushes for landscaping, playground equipment, a sign, etc. You can give creatively. If you have an idea of how to join with us in another way in this expansion project, please let us know.
For each gift of $500, donors may add an inscription in honor or memory of someone to a landscaping paver placed by the playground or to a brick in a wall of honor/memory.
For each gift of $5,000, donors may add a plaque inscribed in honor or memory of someone to a park bench in the playground area or somewhere else on the property.
For each of the following larger gift amounts, donors may name a room/unit/duplex in hon- or or memory of someone.
- $50,000: A bedroom
- $100,000: A kitchen
- $150,000: A living room
- $325,000: A whole unit
- $650,000: A whole duplex
